Allergy

Allergy has become increasingly common in recent times. This can be caused by a large number of substances including foods, as well as things that we touch and breath. There are validated ways to test for allergy, and we can use these to help in diagnosing allergies. Food allergies can cause a variety of symptoms from minor abdominal symptoms through to anaphylaxis (a life threatening reaction). Food allergies are common in young children and often children outgrow the allergy with time. There are a number of medical conditions that are not allergies themselves, but can be adversely influenced by having an allergy, most commonly Allergic rhinitis (hayfever), Eczema and Asthma.
