Garths professional medical career began in 1995 as a house surgeon in Ashburton and Christchurch. Over the subsequent 20 years he has gained further qualifications in Obstetrics and Paediatrics.

Garth personally
Garth and his son on a fishing trip down the West Coast. Camping out at Franz Joseph they took a chance on catching breakfast early one morning. It paid off.
When he hangs up the stethoscope for the day, Garth will be found on the ski slopes, on a mountain or motor bike, or pounding the tracks amongst some native bush somewhere.
